And the advantages in what you can do academically, by not having to worry about your equipment, are just phenomenal.

ZDNet’s Matthew Rothenberg has published another article that takes a stab at the Adobe-Apple relationship, casting more light on Adobe and Mac OS X. Without comment from Adobe, Rothenberg speculates on Adobe’s position and its lagging OS X titles.

Microsoft today began shipping Word + Entourage 2001 Special Edition, a limited-time offering that combines both titles in a US$149 package. Customers who purchase Word + Entourage will also be eligible to upgrade to Office 10 for Mac OS X for just $149. A French-language version of the Word + Entourage is expected to ship in early August.

Hewlett-Packard has begun shipping the PSC750, an all-in-one printer, scanner, and copier that features a 600×1200 optical scanning resolution and can print at up to 11 pages per minute for black text, and 8.5 pages per minute for color. The PSC750 sells for £199, according to Macworld UK.
