Discreet has released Cleaner 5.1, an update to the video editing/optimization software formerly from Media 100. The new version includes the latest codecs for Sorenson Media, Real Systems, and Microsoft Windows Media; 2-pass VBR support for Sorenson Video 3 Professional; support for RealSystem 8.5.1; improved reading of .AVI sources; and higher performance MPEG output. Cleaner sells for US$559.95.
