Aspyr Media today announced that it will bring Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, the action-adventure game based on the wildly popular novel from J.K. Rowling, to the Mac in late December, according to Inside Mac Games. The announcement coincides with the debut of the film in theatres today. The game, which will run on both Mac OS 9.x and Mac OS X 10.1, begins as Harry arrives at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and lets players solve puzzles, cast spells, battle foes and uncover secrets of the hidden institution. Other features include the Invisibility Cloak, potion ingredients, Chocolate Frog Famous Wizard Cards, and fast-paced, arcade-style Quidditch matches. Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone is available for pre-order for US$29.95.
