4D today began shipping WebSTAR Server Suite V for Mac OS X, a new version of its Web serving software. WebSTAR Suite V takes full advantage of features present in Mac OS X, delivers improved performance, and offers several easily configured security features. 4D has also committed to delivering frequent updates to the product, with the first update already under development. WebSTAR Server Suite V is also being offered under a new pricing structure; licenses are US$399, with one year of included updates and support, while additional years of updates and support can be purchased for $179 per year. Upgrades are priced at $199 for WebSTAR 4.x customers and $299 for WebSTAR 3.x users.
