Autodesk, creators of Discreet, today announced that it will be acquiring Media 100‘s software line for US$16 million cash. The transaction includes the rights to the Cleaner family of products (Cleaner 5, Cleaner EZ, Cleaner Live, Charger and SuperCharger), CineStream, EventStream technology, EditDV, and IntroDV. Media 100 will continue developing digital media systems, including iFinish and Media 100i, and will continue to support for its ICE and MediaPress family of products.
