Errol Morris, the documentary filmmaker who produced Apple’s Switch ads, has posted several never before seen commercials on his Web site in QuickTime format. Morris offers up Switch ads featuring many average Mac users, in addition to more famous ones like rocker Perry Farrell, comedian Wanda Sykes, cartoonist Daniel Clowes, and comedian Will Ferrell. Members of the Ellen Feiss fan club will be happy to find out that Morris has also posted a new spot featuring the teenager.

Jeremiah Cohick, the 19-year old star of an Apple “Switch” ad, has posted his thoughts on why the campaign is indeed working. “Apple’s former hardware tradition of being overpriced and underpowered was broken last year,” writes Cohick. “The current product matrix is competitively priced when compared to Dell and Hewlett-Packard systems… Switch has not failed. Switch 1.0 plays, downloads and manages Apple “Switch” ads

Drew Hamlin of Vizspring Software today released Switch 1.0, a new freeware application that lets you play, download, and manage “Switch” ads from Apple’s Web site with a simple and intuitive user interface. The application has two modes, for viewing both local and online ads. You can download ads that you don’t have and even read each Switcher’s personal story right from the application. Apple has posted yet another new “Switch” commercial, this time featuring high school student Alex Schoknecht. In the ad, he discusses his recent Mac purchase after having a troublesome time with his father’s PC, noting that “it couldn’t work for three days straight without something going wrong.”
