Other World Computing (OWC) today announced it has reduced prices by as much as US$40 on its OWC Mercury Extreme G4 processor upgrades. The updated pricing is as follows: 933MHz-1.0GHz)- $195 (was $229.99), 1.0-1.2GHz – $289 (was $299), 1.3-1.4GHz – $349 (was $389), 1.4-1.5GHz – $429 (was $459.99). OWC ships 100GB Mercury On-The-Go drive

Other World Computing (OWC) today announced immediate availibility of its first 100GB Mercury On-The-Go portable storage solutions. The 5400RPM drive features 8MB of cache and is available with either a FireWire only interface or with both FireWire and USB interfaces. The IEEE1394/iLink-compliant FireWire interface on the 100GB On-The-Go solution supports both a powered (6-pin) and an unpowered (4-pin) port. Conversely, the USB interface on the combination FireWire/USB 100GB On-The-Go external hard drive supports both USB v2.0 and v1.1.
