J2S has announced the release of J2STask 1.2, an image processing server application for an image workflow on Mac OS X. J2STask is a robot used to batch process images — it scans a local or FTP source folder at regular intervals and processes the files it contains according to the task settings. Version 1.2 features the possibility to trigger a default task by drag&drop and to launch AppleScript scripts. J2STask is a robot used to batch process images — it scans a local or FTP source folder at regular intervals and processes the files it contains according to the task settings. Some of the tasks the utility can accomplish are: set file resolution, apply an IPTC profile, downsize the pictures, convert files to TIFF or JPEG, and more. J2STask is priced at €1200 and requires Mac OS X 10.2 or later.
