J2S has announced the release of J2STask 1.2, an image processing server application for an image workflow on Mac OS X. J2STask is a robot used to batch process images — it scans a local or FTP source folder at regular intervals and processes the files it contains according to the task settings. Version 1.2 features the possibility to trigger a default task by drag&drop and to launch AppleScript scripts. In addition, a few issues have been solved concerning the processing of some TIFF and JPEG files. J2STask is priced at €1200 and requires Mac OS X 10.3 or later. A demo version is available.
