Blackmagic introduces DeckLink Extreme for G5 PCI Express

Blackmagic Design has announced DeckLink Extreme with PCI Express (PCIe) compatibility with the new Power Macintosh G5 systems recently announced by Apple. DeckLink Extreme PCIe is a PCI Express version of Blackmagic Design’s DeckLink Extreme capture card that features a new high speed PCI Express 1 lane interface running at 2.5 Gbps, which is more than 6 times faster than FireWire based solutions. Blackmagic Design releases DeckLink 5.1

Blackmagic Design today announced the availability of DeckLink 5.1, software which enables new software driver HD down conversion in 720p mode on all DeckLink models, and a new cross conversion allowing 720p mastering to 1080i broadcast decks in real time. Version 5.1 also has several updates for the Blackmagic Deck Control application for automated timecode accurate capture and mastering to broadcast decks. Improvements include new brushed metal user interface improvements and a new timecode and frame count display.

Blackmagic releases DeckLink 4.7 for Mac OS X

Blackmagic Design today announced the availability of DeckLink for Macintosh 4.7, a free update which provides Varicam capture and over-cranking support on all DeckLink HD models. In addition, version 4.7 adds a new hardware based HD down converter on DeckLink HD Pro 4:4:4 models that allows simultaneous playback in both HD-SDI and SD-SDI and SD analog component video. Blackmagic DeckLink 4.1 now available

Blackmagic Design has announced the release of DeckLink 4.1, the latest software update for it’s DeckLink family of uncompressed QuickTime video capture cards. Version 4.1 includes keying support for all standard definition DeckLink modes, a new Disk Speed Test utility, and improvements for DeckLink HD cards. DeckLink 4 beta brings Final Cut Pro 4 support

Blackmagic Design today announced the release of a public beta of version 4.0 software update for it’s DeckLink family of uncompressed QuickTime video capture cards. DeckLink 4.0 adds support for RT Extreme and multi channel audio features in the forthcoming Apple Final Cut Pro 4 video editing application. RT Extreme adds support for real time effects built into Final Cut Pro 4, and increases the creative flexibility of the all models of DeckLink hardware. The public beta is available free of charge from Blackmagic’s Web site.

DeckLink 2 released by Blackmagic Design

Blackmagic Design today announced the immediate availability of DeckLink 2, a new version of the company’s DeckLink uncompressed 10 bit video board with real time effects. DeckLink is designed specifically for connecting to digital broadcast tape decks and independent audio and video monitoring, and is priced at US$995.
