Unsanity has released WindowShade X 1.5.1, a new version of its popular Mac OS X “haxie” that restores traditional Window Shade functionality to the operating system. Version 1.5.1 adds support application-specific settings and several other small refinements and bug fixes. WindowShade is US$7 shareware. Microsoft said in a legal brief filed with U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly late Wednesday night that it will modify its antitrust settlement with the U.S. Justice Department, according to Reuters. Microsoft said that the changes, which the company describes as “refinements,” would address criticism that the settlement contained loopholes and would allow the company to seize computer makers’ patented technologies.
