Microsoft said in a legal brief filed with U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly late Wednesday night that it will modify its antitrust settlement with the U.S. Justice Department, according to Reuters. Microsoft said that the changes, which the company describes as “refinements,” would address criticism that the settlement contained loopholes and would allow the company to seize computer makers’ patented technologies.
