‘CNET’: Apple sings cloud-music licensing deal with EMI Music

Apple has signed a cloud-music licensing agreement with EMI Music and is very near to completing deals with Universal Music Group and Sony Music Entertainment, “multiple” music industry sources told “CNET” (http://macte.ch/Lg1Wh).

Warner Music Group already had a deal in place with Apple, the article notes. The licensing agreements will enable Apple to launch a fully licensed cloud-music service — rumored to be dubbed iCloud — to rival unlicensed offerings of rivals Amazon and Google.

Celmaro has released a public beta of Webbla 1.5 (http://www.celmaro.com/webbla), a new version of the visual bookmark manager for Mac OS X. Version 1.5 adds support for the social bookmarking web services, Delicious and Pinboard.

Webbla is a standalone bookmarking tool for Mac OS X that automatically creates webpage thumbnails for each added bookmark and displays them in a list or grid view. Bookmarks can be personalized with tags, rating and a description, and organized in collections and smart collections.
