Reggie Ashworth has updated AppDelete (http://reggie.ashworth.googlepages.com/appdelete), an application deleting app for Mac OS X (10.6.6 or later), to version 3.2.2. It’s available for US$3.99 in the Mac App Store.

Version 3.2.2 has been optimized for Mac OS X 10.7 (“Lion”). It’s available in five new languages: Danish, Dutch, Japanese, Portuguese (Brazilian), and Russian.

Via drag ‘n drop, AppDelete will delete any chosen app with all of its associated items that belong to that application. You’ll no longer have to hunt through their system to find and delete these items manually.

HTC has workaround for Apple patent infringement ruling

HTC has already completed a technical workaround to skirt a U.S. agency ruling that found a user interface in some handsets infringed an Apple patent, reports “Bloomberg” (http://macte.ch/IMslU).

“It’s actually quite rarely used,” HTC Chief Executive Officer Peter Chou said of the feature. The company will continue to work with Googlel to “protect ourselves,” Chou said in a media briefing at the company’s Taoyuan, Taiwan headquarters today.

iPad, iPhone in top Dogpile search results for 2011

The iPad and iPhone has made the top 10 in the 2011 search results by Dogpile (http://www.dogpile.com), a meta-search engine operated by InfoSpace that combines search results from all of the leading search engines, including Google, Yahoo! and Bing.

The iPad was number five and the iPhone number six. The other entries in the top 10 were, in descending order, Facebook, YouTube, NFL, American Idol, Kim Kardashian, Justin Bieber, the Casey Anthony trial and Powerball.
