Avenza Systems — producers of MAPublisher and MAPublisher LabelPro cartographic software for Adobe Illustrator as well as MAPdataUSA, MAPdataCanada and MAPdataWorld royalty-free GIS data sets — has released Geographic Imager 4.2, which adds support for new formats.

Apple wants a peek at Android source code

Apple wants a U.S. judge to force Google to turn over documents related to its Android operating system, according to “Bloomberg” (http://tinyurl.com/cgpvzeb)

The article says Apple told U.S. Magistrate Judge Paul S. Grewal in San Jose, California, that Google is improperly withholding information about what terms it’s using to find the documents Apple has requested in pretrial information sharing. Apple says the Android OS is used in all of Samsung’s allegedly infringing products and “provides much of the accused functionality” in Apple’s claims.
