ATI sued for securities violations

The Law Offices of Edward J. Carreiro today announced that a class action lawsuit has been filed against ATI Technologies and its officers “resulting from violation of the federal and/or state securities laws.” Investors who purchased shares in ATI from Jan. 13, 2000 through May 24, 2000 are eligible to participate in the lawsuit. On May 24, 2000, shares of ATI fell 40 percent after the company announced it would significantly miss earnings and revenue targets.

Microsoft faces challenges selling Office, analysts say

Microsoft, which yesterday began shipping Office XP for Windows, may find it difficult to market and sell its most profitable software, according to an Upside article. The article notes that only about 20 percent of Office customers use Office 2000 (for Windows), stating that Microsoft is a victim of its own success by having perfected the software years ago to meet the needs of most.
