Limefuel announces USB-C portable battery charger

Limefuel (www.limefuel.com) has announced a charger specifically designed around the USB-C technology in Apple’s new MacBook. The 24,000mAh device is designed to keep the laptop going all day long.

The Limefuel charger will feature two Type C ports and four USB ports for charging other mobile devices. Limefuel’s new Macbook charger also features pass-through technology allowing multiple devices to charge at the same time.  The charger will be available in the second quarter of 2015 through Kickstarter at a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of US$149.99.

Production printer shipments see double digit growth

The worldwide production print market enjoyed double-digit year-over-year shipment growth in the fourth quarter of 2014 (4Q14). Unit shipments grew 17.1% to approximately 11,650 units (printers and MFPs) and shipment value increased 4.5% to nearly $1.4 billion in the same time period, according to the IDC (www.idc.com) research group.

With exception of Japan, all of IDC’s regional markets saw positive year-over-year shipment growth in the production print space. Among the regions, North America grew 19.4% year over year, EMEA grew 23.2%, and Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) was up 14.7%.
