Extensis today announced the release of Portfolio 6, its digital asset management solution for Mac OS 8/9. New features include seamless synchronization between the Portfolio catalog and actual folders on disk, Web page templates, automatic image collection and catalog creation, a streamlined interface, and more. Portfolio 6 is available now for US$199.95.

Olympus today announced Camedia Master Pro 4.0, the latest version of its software for editing, managing, sharing, and printing photos. Camedia Master Pro 4.0 will ship in April with Mac OS X compatibility for US$39.95. A scaled down version, Camedia 4.0, will ship with new Olympus cameras and will be available separately for $19.95.

Canon today introduced updated models of its Bubble Jet printers: the S520, S750, S820, S820D, S900, and S9000. The complete line of printers feature new, high-density 1200-dpi print nozzles and the latest generation of Canon’s Advance Microfine Droplet Technology that improves printing speed and quality. Other features such as individual ink tanks and borderless 4-inch x 6-inch printing are also standard.

ArcSoft today announced the release of PhotoStudio 5.0 (press release) and PhotoImpression 4.0 (press release), new versions of its photo manipulation titles that are now Carbonized for Mac OS X.

Adobe today announced that it has begun shipping GoLive 6.0 and LiveMotion 2.0, the latest versions of its Web authoring and animation software. GoLive 6.0 is priced at US$399, with the upgrade available to previous users for $99, while LiveMotion 2.0 is available now for the introductory price of $199 (regularly $399), with the upgrade also priced at $99.
