Torvalds slams Microsoft

Linus Torvalds, creator of Linux, has taken a shot at Microsoft after one of the company’s Senior Vice Presidents, Craig Mundie, charged that, among other things, “open source code, which is often offered under the Gnu Public License, ‘poses a threat to the intellectual property of any organization making use of it.'” Torvalds shrugged off Mudie’s comments saying, “That argument is so much crap.”

Apple CarbonLib 1.3.1 posted

Apple has made CarbonLib 1.3.1 available via their Software Update Control Panel and their Web Site. Their isn’t much information on this release as of yet, but the notice Apple gives you prior to download is, “CarbonLib 1.3.1 delivers new functionality and features for Carbon-based applications on Mac OS 8.6, all Mac OS 9 releases, and Mac OS X.”.
