Apple told to deal with mis-priced online items in Taiwan
Apple was threatened Monday with a fine if it didn’t act on a dispute in which thousands of visitors to its online store in Taiwan tried to buy computers that were wrongly priced at massive discounts, reports “AFP” (http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20100726/ts_alt_afp/taiwanuscomputercompanyapple_20100726132723).
The Taipei city government said Apple had mis-priced two models Friday afternoon, with one on sale for a little over 40% of what it should have been. Apple corrected the prices hours later but by that time more than 200,000 units had been ordered.
