Expo: Boinx Software releases PhotoPresenter 4

Today at the Macworld Expo, Boinx Software released PhotoPresenter 4, an update to the quick presentation tool for digital photographers. It’s a theme-based photo viewer for creating animated slideshows with photos, movies and music.

Version 4 has been rewritten from scratch and is fully compatible with Mac OS X 10.6 (“Snow Leopard”). The modern foundation provides the “rock solid stability that could be expected of a professional presentation tool,” says Oliver Breidenbach, CEO of Boinx Software.

Expo: Atlona, Wisair release wireless USB DisplayDock set for the Mac

Atlona Technologies (http://www.atlona.com) has teamed up with Wisair, a provider of single-chip based UWB and Wireless USB solutions, to release the all new AT-PCLink. This wireless USB DisplayDock set is designed as a solution for Mac OS X, as well as Windows.

This new USB DisplayDock solution allows Mac and PC users to connect to a monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers, via a single wireless link with a single adapter that connects to a USB port.  The AT-PCLink will wirelessly send video signal and audio at distances up to 30 feet at resolutions up to 1440×1050.

iPad a finalist in the Fiasco Awards

The iPad is among the eight finalists for the 2010 Fiasco Awards (http://www.fiascoawards.com/), reports “Typically Spanish” (http://www.typicallyspanish.com/news/publish/article_25037.shtml).

The jury announced the selection of the final eight from the 32 candidates nominated in Barcelona for the second year of the Fiasco Awards. The jury said the iPad is nominated as it could “go the same was as Obama with the Nobel Prize and win the award before it does anything.”
