Apple shareholder meeting tomorrow will see new co-lead director

After facing criticism “that its board is too close-knit,” Apple will hold its first shareholder meeting tomorrow with a new co-lead director: Avon Products CEO Andrea Jung, notes “Bloomberg” (http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=conewsstory&tkr=AAPL%3AUS&sid=azX38I0O7LqA).

Final versions of DevonNote, DevonThink released

DevonTechnologies (http://www.devon-technologies.com) has released the final, non-public-beta version 2.0 of all editions of its information manager DevonThink as well as of the smart note-keeper DevonNote.

Analyst expects Apple laptop refresh soon

Kaufman Bros. analyst Shaw Wu told clients today that a check of the distribution channel suggests that MacBook Pro supplies are tight and that a refresh of the laptop line is due soon.

He expects the next rev of MacBook Pros to use that Intel’s next-generation mobile processor, Arrandale, which is shipping in large volumes. Wu sys the processor will deliver some new features that will help Apple engineers differentiate their laptops from other portables on the market.
