Highland Apple Watch band is a great choice for athletes

For many Apple Watch owners, the original band that they receive is good enough for daily use, but others need something else. As an avid runner/ball player, I need a band designed for activities — and sweat! The $69.99 rugged Highland watch band filled that need....

Review: VEED is a simple, free online video editor

VEED is a simple online video editor that works with macOS, Windows, and mobile devices. I prefer using iMovie, but VEED is extremely simple to use — and it’s free. Plus, you don’t even have to create an account. Just upload your video (or still picture, if you...

New flagship flash, transmitter from Canon changes the game

    By Michael Corsentino

It’s an exciting time for the Canon Speedlite community. Canon’s new radio-enabled 600EX-RT Speedlite and companion ST-E3-RT radio transmitter are a quantum leap forward in wireless E-TTL handheld flash technology. It’s a safe bet other handheld flash manufactures will soon follow suit.

The latest DSLR camera from Sigma Corporation is the SD1 Merrill, named for Richard “Dick” Merrill, inventor of the X3F CMOS chip, which uses a type of layering that splits light into red, green, and blue at every one of the 4,800×3,200 photo sites on the sensor.

    By Laurie Excell
