RE:Vision Effects announces RE:Lens for Nuke and Fusion Studio

RE:Vision Effects (www.revisionfx.com) has released RE:Lens, a set of tools for projection conversion and lens distortion correction. It’s designed for super-wide, fisheye, spherical, and 360 panorama workflows.

RE:Lens is available for The Foundry’s Nuke, Blackmagic Design’s Fusion Studio, Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro. It straightens curved video captured with wide-angle and fisheye lenses. RE:Lens costs $189.95 for a node-locked version and $284.93 for a floating version.

Davka Corp. announces Alef Bet Schoolhouse for macOS

The Davka Corp. (www.davka.com) has announced Alef Bet Schoolhouse for the Mac. It’s an app that introduces Hebrew letter basics to children ages three and up.

Almost half of all consumers ship via their phones

New data reveals that almost half of all consumers shop via their phones — and a two-second delay in load time can hurt bounce rates by 103%.
 
This data comes from SOASTA’s (www.soasta.com) semi-annual “State of Digital Performance” report, which analyzes the performance of retail, media and travel sites. SOASTA gathered 38.3 billion beacons’ worth of data (10 billion user visits) to determine the findings.

SAP Cloud Platform SDK for iOS coming next month

SAP SE plans to deliver the SAP Cloud Platform SDK [software developer kit] for iOS on March 30, giving developers the tools for building enterprise apps for the iPhone and iPad.

Developers can now register for the SAP Academy for iOS to get the necessary training to create their own native apps. Early adopter customers have already seen improvements in their business with iOS built on SAP’s platforms, according to Bernd Leukert, member of the Executive Board, SAP SE, Products & Innovation. “
