AKVIS LightShop updated to version 6.0

AKVIS (www.akvis.com) has released AKVIS LightShop 6.0, an update of its app for adding light effects to images. The new version adds a Sparkle Brush that scatters light spots of different shapes, colors, and sizes. Also, a new gray interface theme is now available.

On the Mac platform, AKVIS LightShop 6 runs on macOS 10.7 and higher. It’s available as a standalone application and as a plug-in to photo editors such as AliveColors by AKVIS, Adobe Photoshop, and others.

Twelve South’s (www.twelvesouth.com) newest edition of the BookBook (Vol 2) has arrived. The $79.99 leather case fist the newest 12-inch MacBooks and 13-inch MacBook Pros.

Apple sees revenue growth of 7% and EPS growth of 17%

Apple has announced financial results for its fiscal 2017 third quarter that ended July 1. The company posted quarterly revenue of $45.4 billion and quarterly earnings per diluted share of $1.67.

These results compare to revenue of $42.4 billion and earnings per diluted share of $1.42 in the year-ago quarter. International sales accounted for 61% of the quarter’s revenue.

Red Giant rolls out Trapcode Suite 14

Red Giant has released Trapcode Suite 14 (http://www.redgiant.com/products/trapcode-suite/), an update to its set of tools for creating 3D motion graphics and visual effects in Adobe After Effects.
