Hotel Accommodations

By far, the best experience will be for those who are staying at the Sheraton Universal (where the conference is) as it will give you the greatest exposure to meeting others, and talking with your peers. We have selected the Sheraton not only for the conference space, but also for the quality of its rooms and location.

Special event hotel room rates will be available soon. We’ll contact you so that you can make your hotel reservations online. In the meantime, you can just indicate your interest on the registration page. When you’re ready, register here.

The Sheraton is a quality venue with rooms that typically run $229.00 or more per night, plus tax, and with Internet for an additional fee.

Available on a first-come, first-served basis, MacTech Conference attendees get a special rate. Just $169 per night which includes Internet. Taxes and service charges are extra. Room quantity is limited.

Flights and Airports

While you can fly into any of the five Los Angeles area airports, Burbank (BUR) is the closest, and Los Angeles International (LAX) is the next closest. As we get closer to the event, we’ll provide additional information on shuttle options to and from the airport, or you can take any of the commercially available transportation options.

Getting to the Sheraton from LAX or BUR

There are three primary ways that people get from the airports to the hotel: rent a car, taxi, or shuttle services. Remember that if you rent a car, there’s a charge for parking at the hotel. You won’t need a car while at the conference as we’ve taken care of transportation from the Sheraton to our other venues.

Taxi services can be expensive, but may be worthwhile to you especially if you’re able to share a cab from the airport to the hotel. (You may want to tweet at @mactechconf if you are looking to share).

The most economical method, and the one that natives of Los Angeles tend to use most, are the shuttle van services. While there are a number of these, we can tell you that we’ve found PrimeTime, SuperShuttle, and Road Runner to all be reputable and typically has service from all major LA area airports.
