CUPERTINO, California – April 17, 2001 – Apple today announced that Apple
CEO Steve Jobs will kick off its Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) with
a “fireside chat” with developers on Monday, May 21, 2001, at 9:30 a.m.

The five-day event, which runs from May 21-25, at the San Jose Convention
Center, will focus almost exclusively on Mac OS X, Apple’s next generation
operating system, with in-depth technical sessions and a showcase of the
