High speed AOL may be coming to you soon

AOL and Cox Communications have announced that the two companies will work to provide AOL’s services over Cox’s cable Internet connection. The six-month trial run will begin some time in the third quarter, although at present its unknown which areas will be used for the test. Cox came to a similar agreement with EarthLink earlier this year.

NetObjects to support Mac OS X

In a press release issued today, NetObjects — makers of NetObjects Fusion and the new NetObjects Matrix — has announced that they will be supporting Mac OS X. “Mac OS X combines a powerful UNIX-based foundation with the Mac’s ease-of-use to deliver superior performance, unprecedented stability and powerful Internet features that make the Mac the ideal platform for Web development,” said Ron Okamoto, Apple’s new VP of Worldwide Developer Relations.

URL Manager Pro 3.0b13 & Web Confidential 3.0b3 posted

Alco Blom has updated his beta releases of both URL Manager Pro 3.0b13 and Web Confidential 3.0b3. The press release notes that these are the first fully-carbonized releases of the software, but they will both work with Mac OS 8.6 and higher if you have CarbonLib 1.1 installed. In addition, the Shared Menu features of both applications have been rewritten and merged into one component.
