Apple products especially tempting to cyberthieves

According to the Internet Crime Complaint Center, online fraud of all kinds rose 22.3 percent between 2008 and 2009. Credit-card fraud made up about 10% of the total number of complaints referred to law enforcement.

Over 190,000 iPads pre-ordered

After Apple began taking pre-orders for the iPad, 190,000 orders were placed within the first week. CosmoPod Safari extension update sports new QT movies interpreter

Cocoamug Software, developers and publishers of great Mac software, has released CosmoPod 4.3 (http://www.cocoamug.com/cosmopod/index.html), an update of the Safari extension that lets you download Flash videos from web sites such as YouTube, Vimeo, DailyMotion, etc.

The upgrade sports a new QuickTime movies interpreter that just works with tutorial movies and trailers from Apple. Also, the CosmoPod toolbar button now features a menu.
