Credit Suisse firm predicts Monster fiscal quarter for Apple

Credit Suisse has raised their Apple target from US$275 to $300, reiterated its Outperform rating and calling for a Monster quarter. According to “StreetInsider” (http://macosg.me/2/17), in a note to clients, the firm made these points:

° Apple’s March quarter revenue and EPS (earnings per share) should be $12.26 billion and $2.57 billion, respectively.

Vodafone Essar to sell the iPhone 3GS in India

Vodafone Essar, India’s third-largest mobile operator says it will begin selling the iPhone 3GS in the country, effective immediately, reports “Reuters” (http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSSGE62P09C20100326?feedType=RSS&feedName=technology-media-telco-SP&rpc=22).

India’s top mobile firm Bharti Airtel also said earlier this week it would start selling iPhone 3GS in the country as of today. The company has previously sold the iPhone 3G, but not the faster version of the Apple smartphone.

Apple juggles panel makers to avoid iPad delays

Taiwan-based TPK Touch Solutions has seen Apple shift orders for iPad-use projected capacitive touch panels to fellow maker Wintek because of TPK’s delayed shipments, according to “DigiTimes” (http://www.digitimes.com/news/a20100326PD213.html), which quotes industry sources” on the news.

Wintek has recently announced a plan to set up a touch panel module production line in Dongguan, southern China. The company is evaluating another plan to expand the capacity for front-end touch panel production, adds “DigiTimes.”
