Hercules expands XPS audio line

Hercules (http://www.hercules.com), a digital audio specialist, has expanded it XPS multimedia speaker line with the new XPS 2.0 35 USB, 2.0 USB-powered speakers for on-the-go listening and the XPS 5.1 70 Slim.

Created with the same slim design as their XPS 2.1 Slim Speaker line, the XPS 5.1 70 Slim features five ultra-slim satellite speakers and a wooden-made subwoofer for a “full surround sound experience.” The XPS 2.0 35 USB set will be available in June at a suggested retail price of US$19.99; the XPS 5.1 70 Slim will also be available at the end of June for $99.99.

Witch for Mac OS X conjures up version 3.1

Many Tricks has released version 3.1 of Witch (http://manytricks.com/witch), its window switching utility for Mac OS X. The new version adds a couple of new features, improves on many behaviors, and fixes a few bugs.

In version 3.1, the Witch panel appears after a very short delay, so it can be used (as with Command-Tab) to toggle between two open windows without seeing the Witch panel flash onscreen. A major memory leak has been identified and plugged. Witch no longer uses increasing amounts of RAM over time, and uses less RAM overall than version 3.0.
