Apple is now accepting submissions of iPhone Duo-optimized apps and games built with Xcode 27.1.

Build or recompile with Xcode
Recompile existing apps with Xcode 27.1, which adds development support for iPhone Duo. Use Device Hub to visualize how your apps behave on iPhone Duo across all poses and orientations.
If you’re planning on getting an iPhone Duo, you can take advantage of the the “Get Ready” process starting on Monday, October 12. The info has been added to the iPhone Duo product page, which says to “Come back on 10.12 to get ready for pre‑order.”
Get Ready lets you choose a preferred color and capacity for the foldable iPhone, confirm your carrier status, choose accessories, choose an AppleCare+ plan, select a trade-in, add a payment method, and set a shipping and billing address.
Currently, pre-orders for the iPhone Due begin Friday, October 16, with availability beginning Friday, October 23. It will be available in star white and night sky with prices starting at US $1,999 or $83.29 per month for 24 months, in 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB storage capacities.
