Here are some of the latest software announcements.
° ProjectWizards GmbH has released adoc Studio 5. The authoring environment for Mac, iPad, and iPhone now encrypts PDF exports straight from the editor and defines whether readers may print, change, copy, comment on, or fill in form fields in the document. Until now, editorial teams assigned those rights after the export, in Adobe Acrobat Pro or a comparable tool, and repeated the work for every new revision.
° ClockwiseTV is a new “human-curated content app for kids ages 8-12 designed to put families back in control.” To get started, parents and guardians determine the session length with their kids. ClockwiseTV will then surface content that fits, without ads, autoplay, or an infinite feed. When time is up, the session ends and the app closes, allowing families to continue their day or pass the tablet on for the next turn.
° iScreen, a mobile customization app for iOS and Android, has introduced a new interactive digital pet experience featuring customizable widgets and stickers, giving users new ways to personalize their iPhone Home Screens with interactive characters and expressive visual elements.
° United has announced a mobile app feature that gives customers more flexibility and options when travel plans are disrupted. Now, customers who are rebooked to a later flight after a travel disruption can stand by for up to three earlier flights*. Instead of repeatedly checking the app to see if seats open up on earlier flights, United automatically monitors availability behind the scenes and sends a text notification when a seat becomes available. ° KAVYLO, an independent fitness app for the iPhone and Apple Watch, has been updated to version 1.3. The upgrade introduces expanded training analytics, coach features, challenges, personal goals and a number of improvements across the overall experience.
° Mozilla is adding an ad blocker to Firefox for iOS, allowing users to block many third-party ads and ad-related trackers.
° Anthropic has introduced Claude Fable 5.1 and Claude Mythos 5.1. The company claims they’e the “world’s most advanced models for coding and knowledge work.”
° The Omni Group invites the public to try OmniGraffle 8 on iPad and iPhone, now available in TestFlight alongside test builds of OmniGraffle 8 for Mac. To learn more, go here.
