On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.

iOS

Eternal Storms Software has updated the iOS/iPadOS version of Yoink, their drag ’n drop app for macOS, to version 2.3.5.

The update can now monitor your clipboard and save anything you copy or cut, even if Yoink itself is in the background. This gives you a bona-fide clipboard history. It’s powered by Picture-in-Picture.

Yoink requires iOS 14 or newer, and the Clipboard Monitoring does require iOS 15. Speaking of which, iOS 15 enabled another cool feature for Yoink: Picture-in-Picture for arbitrary content. With it, you can display videos, images, texts, PDFs, eMails, websites and more in the Picture-in-Picture overlay.

Additionally, texts, PDFs, eMails and websites are scrollable via the PiP overlay’s controls. Yoink is available on the App Store for US$5.99.

macOS

Zevrix Solutions has announced InPreflight 3, an upgrade to the company’s document preflight and collection solution for Adobe InDesign.

It’s an all-in-one tool to check InDesign documents for errors, package multiple files for output, and ship them to final destination. Rebuilt from the ground up, the upgrade adds such features and improvements as faster preflighting, new user interface, image previews, link renaming, new preflight checks and more.

InPreflight 3 can be purchased from the Zevrix website for $99.95. A demo is available for download. Licensed users of earlier versions can upgrade to InPreflight 3 for $50. InPreflight 3 requires macOS 10.12-11.x and Adobe InDesign CS6-2021.
