Tropical Software has announced TopXNotes 1.8.1, an update to their note taking app developed exclusively for Mac OS X. It’s been optimized for Mac OS X El Capitan.

It’s a personal information manager that lets you create, view, organize, and instantly access your Mac notes with TopXNotes. Version 1.8.1 offers performance enhancements and bug fixes. TopXNotes 1.8.1 keeps your notes synchronized between TopXNotes for Mac and TopXNotes for iOS.

TopXNotes 1.8.1 adds a new Devices Preference to edit the Synced Devices Table. Editing allows the freeing-up of sync slots allocated to devices that are no longer needs to sync with — such as iPhones you no longer own. The upgrade adds a CMD Shift L command for an Insert Link menu command. There are also tweaks to accommodate new sandboxing changes by Apple.

TopXNotes 1.8.1 is available for $39.95 from the Tropical Software website (http://www.tropic4.com/topxnotes.html), the Mac App store, Amazon, and other select Mac software resellers. It’s a free update to customers who have already purchased version 1.5 or later. Existing customers with an older version (previous to 1.5) can upgrade to version 1.8.1 for $19.95 from the company’s web site.
