Koingo Software has announced MacPilot 8, an update of its tool for tinkering with Mac OS X. The latest version is for El Capitan only (Mac OS X 10.11) and boasts a number of enhancements, fixes, and new features for Apple’s new operating system.
With Mac Pilot,you can do things such as disable the Dashboard, enable debug menus, optimize your system for broadband, change Finder grid spacing, disable Finder animations, prevent Dock modifications, disable Safari PDF support, speed up Safari, schedule power events, customize Apple File Sharing, enhance the Login Window and more.
Upgrades are free for: Utility Package Pro owners, users with a current MacPilot subscription, and traditional license buyers ordering within the past six months. All upgrades can be obtained by logging into Koingo Software web site accounts, clicking “Orders” and then clicking “Renew” or “Upgrade.” For new users the cost is $$29.95 for a single user license; a demo is available for download.
