Ambrosia Software (www.AmbrosiaSW.com) has updated their screen capture utility, Snapz Pro X. Version 2.5.0 has been rewritten from the ground up with the most modern APIs to take maximum advantage of Mac OS X 10.7.4 or later.

Native Instruments (www.native-instruments.com) has re-released four studio effects. Vintage Compressors and Transient Master feature new user interfaces, and can now be used as stand-alone plug-ins in any DAW.

Maintain has released Cocktail 5.1 (Snow Leopard Edition), the latest maintenance update of the software (http://maintain.se/cocktail) for users running OS X Snow Leopard 10.6. Cocktail is a general purpose utility for OS X that lets you clean, repair and optimize your Mac. This version adds ability to disable startup sound, adds compatibility with the latest versions of supported web browsers and addresses many other issues.

Mariner Software (www.marinersoftware.com) has updated Person — an app for writers, dedicated to developing the characters of a story — to version 1.0.1. It’s a maintenance update.

AquaFold (www.aquafold.com) has revved Aqua Data Studio, its universal database query and administration software that allows users to design and administer the latest class of relational databases, to version 12.0.8. Schema tree Materialized View nows has subfolders for columns.
