Battery-Biz, an U.S.-based manufacturer and distributor of consumer electronic power accessories, has launched its BuQu Tech subsidiary and the introduction of the Magnetyze family of smartphone accessories. The magnetic charging system is available to users of the iPhone 4 and 4S at www.BuQuTech.com/Magnetyze .
It applies patent-pending magnetics technology to keep smartphones charged, synchronized and ready to “grab and go,” says BuQu Tech CEO Ophir Marish. It also eliminates multiple cords, clumsy cradles and the need for new charging accessories with every smartphone upgrade, he adds.
Initially, the company will offer a Magnetyze iPhone 4 and 4S bundle containing the Magnetyze protective case, desk stand and magnetic charging and data sync cable for US$69.99 via its web site. The company will accept pre-orders for the next gen shortly after it’s released and will introduce the first Magnetyze smartphone cases for Android later this fall with a Magnetyze case for the Samsung Galaxy S3.
Users simply slide their smartphone into the lightweight Magnetyze protective case and attach the polycarbonate bumper over their smartphone. The smartphone is now ready to attach to the Magnetyze desk stand. Magnets integrated into both the case and desk stand enable attachment and simultaneous charging and data synchronization.

When it’s time for Magnetyze users upgrade to a new smartphone, only the protective case needs replacement. The desk stand, magnetic charging cable and other Magnetyze-branded accessories will work with any and every Magnetyze smartphone case, says Marish.
