According to filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission — as noted by “Barron’s” (http://macte.ch/JH3Hj) — Scott J. Forstall (pictured), Apple’s senior vice president of iPhone software, sold 64,151 Apple shares for US$38.7 million. The sale represented a 95.5% stake of Forstall’s direct holdings, leaving him with 2,988 shares left following the transaction.

According to “Barron’s,” this is Forstall’s first major sale since he sold over 40,000 shares in April 2010. Also, Apple board of director member, Millard Drexler, has exercised and sold 40,000 shares for an average of $603.52 a share, netting $23.7 million.
