This week’s MUG Event calendar is a full one, filled with names you know — or should know.

“Macworld” Senior Editor Christopher Breen will talk to an Oregon group, while Adam Engst and Joe Kissell of “TidBITS” and Take Control will join Chuck Joiner for a virtual presentation to a Florida grou. The next night, Joiner is on his own talking to a North Carolina group.

Dave Hamilton of “The Mac Observer” will be the featured guest at a Texas group, while his TMO colleague Jeff Gamet will head up the agenda at a Colorado MUG, and digital photography expert Steve Stanger will present live and in person to a New Jersey group. Other topics on this week’s agenda include blogging, the new iPad, Adobe Lightroom, Apple TV, iBooks Author and much more.

“The MUG Event Calendar” can be found at The MUG Center (http://www.mugcenter.com), an online resource for Mac User Groups. MUGs are good places for making new friends in the Mac community, improving your computing skills, finding solutions to technical problems, and perhaps locating a good deal on used hardware. For more info on MUGs, and to find the location of the one nearest you, go to Apple’s MUG page (http://www.apple.com/usergroups/).
