Apalon, the creator of Pimp Your Screen for iOS, now offers a Mac version. It requires Mac OS X 10.6, costs US$2.99 and is available at the Mac App Store.

Pimp Your Screen for Mac has a choice of minimalistic images, abstract backgrounds and wallpapers that were created by a team of professional designers. All the backgrounds are arranged in eight categories: Abstract, Cartoon, Holidays, Sci-Fi, Animals, Sport, Nature, and My Images, the latter allows users to create their own personalized collection of wallpapers.
The app supports all available resolutions. Every image can be previewed before saving it as a desktop. It is also easy to check out the most popular images in the Popular tab and add the images users enjoy most into the Favorites folder.
