China Mobile says that five million activations since October has brought the total number of iPhone users on its network to over 15 million. And the telecom isn’t even an official Apple/iPhone partner yet.

The jump in users reportedly followed the launch of the iPhone 4S as well as a fix that allows the device to operate on the carrier’s 3G network.
