drchrono (http://www.drchrono.com) has announced a free Electronic Health Record (EHR) platform on the iPad and a patient check-in app that replaces the traditional paper check-in process in the physician waiting room. OnPatient is an app that can be downloaded to the iPad and integrated into a medical practice as a stand-alone onboard app. The patient check-in app also seamlessly integrates with drchrono’s Meaningful Use-certified iPad EHR.

Screenlife has released Scene It? Pixel Flix, an 8-bit movie puzzle and trivia app. It’s free and compatible with the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.

Manna Soft has introduced Dr Kids Phonics Singalong for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Geared specifically towards young children, it gives kids the power to master the fundamentals of proper phonetic pronunciation on the go anywhere anytime. The full version of Dr Kids Phonics Singalong is currently available on for $1.99. A standard version of the app with one album included and others available via in-app purchase is available for $2.99.

Kora Erdelyi has launched KinderApp 1.0, a $1.99 children’s learning app for iOS devices. Children from one year onwards get to know important objects from their home environment, in an interactive way. KinderApp has two different levels, pictures and animations.

Haha Interactive has debuted My Wonderful Goals 1.0, a $0.99, goal-based app for iOS devices. It’s designed to help you complete daily goals.

Children’s ABC is a $0.99 alphabet app for kids with animated hand painted illustrations. Each letter is presented with a word and an illustration. The child can touch each letter and word to hear it pronounced, as well as touch the picture to start animations combined with sounds.

Yeinart has developed ezComposer and ezComposer Pro, their new music sequencer for iPhone and iPad. ezComposer supports chord and style editors so that user doesn’t need to sequence each note. For beginners, ezComposer features a unique chord progression recommendation system. ezComposer has 49 HQ instruments with 16-bit 44.1kHz and seven drumkits, including standard, jazz, rock and more. Users can export to MIDI then load their music to their favorite desktop DAW. ezComposer for the iPhone, and iPod is $9.99; ezComposer Pro for the iPad is $13.99.

Orbit Media Group has created Cowboys and Aliens: The Kids 1.0 for iOS. The $4.99 storybook tells how the kids of the cowboys, Native Americans and aliens meet, play and share while their parents are away battling for the Earth’s future. Activities include: individualized narration, coloring, painting, animation and picture manipulation.

ePig Games has unleashed ePig Surf 1.0, a $0.99 action surf game available for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. In the app, you grab your surfboard and ride the crazy waves with Eddie, a pig. Surf and avoid different obstacles, while unlocking new boards to improve you stats, and compete online worldwide. Look out for sharks, mad manta rays, dolphins, turtles, and the tentacles of the octopi. Avoid obstacles such as islands, rocks, and whirlpools, and even foggy weather.

Vetasoft is offering Whack-A-Mole game, Monkey Land 1.0 for iOS. The free game is a revisited and fully multitouch Whack-A-Mole mobile game. Here’s how it’s described: “Mokoko, the giant monkey received a letter from his beloved master. He must defeat the vampire monkey Dr. Apula and retrieve all the stolen bananas! Players must touch and dodge as many monkeys as possible to pass the levels. Players can also buy items to increase power, gain experience, unlock mini games, and more.”

Blockdot has cooked up Smarter Shopping, a free app from supermarket guru Phil Lempert that’s sponsored by ConAgra Foods. It’s loaded with recipes, nutrition analysis, reviews of new products, and many other resources to help you understand your food, health, lifestyle, and shopping options.

Aspyre Apps has announced Photo Academy 1.0, a digital photography guide for iPhone and iPod touch. The $2.99 app caters to a range of photography enthusiasts, from inexperienced first timers, to those looking for advanced creative advice. The user has access to thousands of original photography tips, arranged in a hierarchy of subjects. Each tip is accompanied by detailed camera settings, and a hand-picked illustrative photo.

Yardi has released Yardi PAYscan Mobile, a free iOS app that’s designed for companies that use Yardi PAYscan. It provides the capability to approve purchase orders and invoices from an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
