Digital Heaven (http://www.digital-heaven.co.uk) has announced DH_GridX and DH_WideSafeX, two free plug-ins for the recently released Final Cut Pro X and Motion 5.
DH_GridX creates a customizable grid that’s useful for aligning elements on screen. DH_WideSafeX provides 4:3, 14:9 and 16:9 action and title safe areas while working in 16:9 aspect ratio sequences. Both plug-ins are built using Apple’s latest FxPlug 2 architecture to take full advantage of GPU rendering and 64-bit processing.
Both plug-ins require Final Cut Pro X or Motion 5. DH_GridX and DH_WideSafeX are free and available for download after registration at the Digital Heaven website. DH_WideSafe for Final Cut Pro 4-7 is also now a free plug-in; previously it was $29.
