Apparent Corporation has expanded its Doxie brand scanner line-up (http://www.getdoxie.com) with a new model just for teachers and students: Doxie U. is a small, US$119 USB-powered personal paper scanner.
It creates PDFs, works with Evernote, fits in any backpack, and is now shipping. It’s compatible with Mac OS X and Windows PCs.
Academic credentials are required to purchase Doxie U. For non-academic users, consider Doxie, Wired’s Editor’s Choice for best portable paper scanner, which costs $149.
