Reinvented Software has updated Feeder — a Mac OS X RSS editor for creating news feeds, podcasts and appcasts– to version 2.2. The upgrade includes support for new iTunes Podcasting tags, improves Twitter and Facebook announcements, adds FTP-SSL publishing and faster SFTP uploads.

Feeder purportedly makes working with RSS as straightforward as writing email and is packed with features such as templates, previews, HTML editing and auto-completion. In version 2.2, the app supports new “order,” “isCloseCaptioned” and “complete” iTunes Podcasting tags. Publishing the feed and media files has been enhanced with support for FTP-SSL and faster SFTP uploads.

Feeder 2.2 requires Mac OS X 10.5 or later and a Mac with an Intel processor. It’s available on the Mac App Store and as a 15-day trial that can be unlocked upon purchase from the Reinvented Software site (http://reinventedsoftware.com/). Feeder 2.2 is a free upgrade for registered Feeder 2.x users; a full license costs $39.95 and an upgrade from version 1.x is $14.95. Education and bulk discounts are available through the Reinvented Software site.
