The last full week of May may be a little slow, but several notable meetings are on the schedule of “The MUG Event Calendar.

Several Final Cut Pro groups will have special guests. In Los Angeles, a TV film editor and Avid will be talking production, while in Boston, Philip Hodgetts will discuss Final Cut X and Adobe will cover CS 5.5 Production Premium. In Indianapolis, the FCP group will “show and Tell”, while in Washington D.C., graphics expert Lesa Snider will be talking Photoshop CS5.

“The MUG Event Calendar” can be found at The MUG Center (http://www.mugcenter.com), an online resource for Mac User Groups. MUGs are good places for making new friends in the Mac community, improving your computing skills, finding solutions to technical problems, and perhaps locating a good deal on used hardware. For more info on MUGs, and to find the location of the one nearest you, go to Apple’s MUG page (http://www.apple.com/usergroups/).
