Apple CEO Steve Jobs has ranked third in a list of Engineering Heroes, behind Isambard Kingdom Brunel and James Dyson but ahead of Microsoft founder Bill Gates, reports “PC World” (http://macte.ch/vUHr6).

The list of Engineering Heroes was chosen by around 900 engineering undergraduates in the UK who were surveyed by General Electric (GE). Brunel’s work on bridges, dockyards and railways made him the top choice among engineering students, with — put him in second, says “PC World.” Jobs takes credit for Apple products such as the Apple II and iPod.
