April wraps up with some interesting user group on “The MUG Event Calendar.”

Shane Buehn of Other World Computing will demo their SSD drives to one Illinois group, AutoDesk will show off Smoke on the Mac at another Illinois group. Chuck Joiner of “MacVoices” will be guest auctioneer at a Pennsylvania group’s annual auction, and Larry Jordan will review the new Final Cut Pro X at a California group. Other topics up for discussion this weke include the iPad 2, Adobe Premier Elements 9, Pages, iMovie ‘11, LinkedIn and more.

“The MUG Event Calendar” can be found at The MUG Center (http://www.mugcenter.com), an online resource for Mac User Groups. MUGs are good places for making new friends in the Mac community, improving your computing skills, finding solutions to technical problems, and perhaps locating a good deal on used hardware. For more info on MUGs, and to find the location of the one nearest you, go to Apple’s MUG page (http://www.apple.com/usergroups/).
