Samsung introduces new drives, BD Combo, DVD writer

Samsung Electronics (http://www.samsung.com) has rolled out a new drive series, a BD Combo and an external DVD writer.

Samsung is now shipping the Spinpoint F4, the newest model of its Spinpoint F series drives. It’s engineered for high-end computing in Macs, PCs high-end workstations and server applications. The one-head platform of the new 7200rpm Spinpoint F4 packs up to 320GB of storage capacity per one head in half platter.

Starbucks to offer free Wi-Fi starting July 1

Starbucks (http://www.starbucks.com) says that, on July 1, there will be a better Wi-Fi offering at all U.S. company owned stores. Better, as in free.

That’s right, free Wi-Fi with just one click. No Starbucks Card will be required. No username or password will be required. And there will be no time restrictions.

Also announced today, to launch later this fall, is a new digital content offering called the Starbucks Digital Network. Customers will have access to an array of premium and exclusive content — available, naturally, only when connected to Wi-Fi at Starbucks.
